Consulting

When something goes wrong, most organizations say too little, too late, or say it sideways.

I help fix that.

I work with companies, public agencies and nonprofits that need clear, credible communication under pressure or during change. That can mean a crisis, a leadership transition, a major project rollout, or a moment when the stakes are high and the message matters.

I spent 25 years in journalism asking hard questions and translating complex situations into information people can actually use. I bring that same discipline to corporate and strategic communications. No jargon. No filler. Just clear messaging that holds up under scrutiny.

What I do

  • Crisis and issue communication planning
  • Executive messaging and talking points
  • Media relations and interview prep
  • Strategic communication plans
  • Internal communication during change or restructuring
  • Content that explains complex topics in plain English

How I work

I start by figuring out what actually matters — not what sounds good in a meeting, but what your audience needs to know and what they will question.

Then I build messaging that is direct, defensible, and easy to understand. If it cannot survive a tough question from a reporter, it is not ready.

I am comfortable working with leadership teams, subject matter experts and frontline staff. I ask questions, push back when needed and keep the focus on clarity.

Who I work with

  • Companies dealing with change, growth or public pressure
  • Organizations that need to explain complex policies or data
  • Teams that want stronger, more credible media presence
